California Law AB 1767 requires age-appropriate suicide prevention education in public schools. Central School District's mental health counselors are hosting two virtual parent information sessions to give an overview of the program for K-6 parents on Thursday, October 28. Parents can choose from a 10am session or 6pm session and registration is required. See the attached flyer for registration details: https://5il.co/zwoj

The district is pleased to work with stakeholders to develop a three-year plan to help identify how to allocate one-time federal funds under the Elementary Secondary Schools Emergency Relief funds because of the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. The dates of the survey are from now through October 10, 2021. Please help us by sharing your thoughts on ways we can improve our support to students, staff, and the community.

Good morning and happy Friday Cougar families! Remember that today is LATE START FRIDAY! Students should not be on campus before 8:30 am, the first bell rings at 8:50 and homeroom starts at 8:55. Dismissal time stays the same at 2:40 pm. Thank you & have a great weekend!

Today was a great first day of school, and we look forward to a year full of fun and learning! Thank you for your patience with student drop-off and pick-up, and we want to share some safety reminders and one update. Please make sure to follow the signage and systems we have in place at arrival and dismissal in order to keep all our kids safe. The parking lot on Hellman is not a student drop-off or pick-up area, as it is not safe for students to cross the main drop-off lanes to meet their rides. Make sure to use the “bus lane” for student drop-off and pick-up.
Students should not arrive on campus prior to 7:30 am. Tomorrow will be a regular dismissal time of 2:40, and students need to be picked up promptly after school. To help with congestion at dismissal time, we will open the south parking lot near the gym on Church street for families to pick up students after school. Especially if your student has PE 6th period, this is a convenient pick-up location. As always, we appreciate your support. Have a nice evening.

First day Cougar Pride is in the air! We are all SO happy to be back! #toCMSandBeyond
